Additional instructions for snowboarders
Due to specialties of snowboarding there are additional rules:

General rules
The basic 10 FIS rules apply also to snowboarders.

Change of direction
Due to the limited side visibility (angle of view) of snowboarders, it is all the more important to check the space on your left and right prior to any change of direction.

Securing the board
The forefoot should be fastened by the safety binding to the board. Only in this way we can be sure that the board does not slide down the slope in case of a fall or any other reason and thus endangers the safety of others on the ski run.

Special footwear
Various straps (bindings) are adjusted to the shoes for snowboarding. Shoes for Alpine skiing are too rigid and disable the necessary side pitch.

Cableway installation
Lifts may be used only by those snowboarders who are skilled enough to use the lifts independently. During the ride on the lift, the back foot must be unfastened and free on the board.

Snowboarding ban
In places where skiing is banned the ban applies also to snowboarders.

Glaciers
On glaciers, where there is a possibility of glacier crevasses, we advise you not to unfasten your boards.

Protection of the environment
Snowboarders must also abide by the rules of environmental protection.
