Mushroom picking week has always been a success on Golte. In 2009, 12th and 13th September will be marked by the mushroom festival. We will get better acquainted with mushrooms during the culinary days enjoying the various mushroom dishes, visiting the theme exhibition in the Alpine garden, learning from the numerous mushroom experts and maybe finding out in which of the nearby forests of Mozirje mountains the best mushroom treasures can be found. Mushroom picking is an old trade in these parts, not unknown also on Golte. Families with children can participate at the mushroom workshop, where children will be able to knead and make mushrooms from different materials and get to know the real ones in nature.
